That's because nobody runs fall in this neighborhood off a single calendar. The community's own marketing team keeps one. Chesterfield County Public Schools keeps a completely separate one. And a working farm a few minutes down Hull Street Road keeps a third, with zero obligation to sync up with either. Check only the calendar that lands in your mailbox and you may miss other local events.
Nothing about fall here runs on one calendar. That's the whole point.
The Fall Fest Includes Model-Home Tours And Fall Activities
In recent years, the community's own Fall Fest has landed on a Saturday afternoon in mid to late October, kicking off at the Aquatic Center on Magnolia Green Parkway. The format centers on touring four decorated model homes, complete with a scavenger hunt, a caricature artist, and raffle prizes at each stop. Once the home tours wrap, everyone regroups at the Aquatic Center for barrel rides, a corn maze, and food trucks.
None of that is a knock on the event. It's free, it's well organized, and kids genuinely have a good time. It also includes model-home tours alongside its fall activities. If that's the only fall event you track, you may miss other fall activities later in the season.

Golf, School, And Farm Events Have Separate Schedules
The Magnolia Green Golf Club & Grille, at 7001 Awesome Drive, keeps its own events calendar year round, separate from the community's social committee. This fall it includes a live show from musician Pat O'Brien on Thursday, September 10, and the National Kidney Foundation's golf classic on Monday, September 28, a charity tournament with a 10 a.m. start that's open to the public, not restricted to club members.
Cosby High School, the Chesterfield County public school most Magnolia Green families feed into, plays its varsity football season on its own athletic schedule at 14300 Fox Club Pkwy in Midlothian. The 2026 season opens with a run of three games, and it doesn't even start on the traditional Friday: home against James River on Thursday, September 3, home against Richmond High School for the Arts on Friday, September 11, then on the road at Manchester on Friday, September 25.
And Magnolia Meadow Farms isn't part of Magnolia Green at all. It's a separate, privately run farm that opens its Fall Festival from September 26 through November 1, Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, an on-farm market, and private campfires available by reservation.
The golf club, school, and farm each keep a separate schedule, so check each directly.
The Farmers Market Has A Seasonal Schedule
The Market at Magnolia Green is the neighborhood's own Saturday farmers market near the community's Hull Street Road entrance. It has historically run Saturday mornings, roughly 9 a.m. to noon, from spring into early fall, with vendors selling produce, eggs, and baked goods a short walk from Thrive Coffee & Bagels. In 2024, according to the listing service that tracks it, the market didn't run at all.
That distinction matters more than it sounds. Unlike the tournament or football game, the market's schedule can vary from year to year. If you're building a fall weekend around it, confirm it's actually open that particular Saturday instead of assuming this year looks like last year.
